Matthew McCoy, O.D.

Matthew McCoy, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry in 2020 from the UMSL College of Optometry and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Missouri at St. Louis in 2016.

Dr. McCoy received additional training from the University of Kentucky Department of Ophthalmology in specialty contact lenses. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Contact Lens Faculty Clinical Excellence Award for contact lens patient care and the Excellence in Clinical Skills Award for excellence in clinical care.

He previously worked in a cornea specialty practice, where patients were fitted for scleral contact lenses to manage conditions such as keratoconus, corneal transplants, corneas that have undergone refractive surgery, and other corneal irregularities that cannot be corrected with traditional glasses and contact lenses.

Dr. McCoy is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, American Optometric Association, Missouri Optometric Association, and the St. Louis Optometric Society.
